Do you ever feel stuck, stagnant, or lost in your day to day life? Like nothing's happening, or you're just going through the motions. For young people and creatives especially, I think we can all relate to that feeling in some way. I know it's affected me, and I also know a couple ways to use it to your advantage.
An ancient Greek saying says, "The unexamined life is not worth living."
When we get caught up in the trials and tribulations of our lives it's easy to trudge along with little thought to where we're going, or why. Days blend together, clocking in and clocking out. An unexamined life, one on autopilot, is boring. Every so often we need to re-evaluate what we're doing here and what we want out of every day. Where do you see yourself next week? In a year? Five years? What are you working towards? This is examining your life.
I just returned to Maui from a two week trip to San Francisco, to produce some content away from Hawaii with my girlfriend. We got to see and do so many different things, and it was so good to change up the pace for a little bit. We traveled via plane, train, trolley, ferry, and uber. With all those hours of transportation, there was plenty of time to think. I left with countless great memories, a hard drive full of photos and video, and a renewed stoke for my life. Traveling is worth every penny no matter how hard it is to get there. Stay tuned for some more photos and a recap video of the trip! To sum it up, if you're unhappy with where you're at, get yourself a plane ticket to somewhere and just go. Immerse yourself in a different culture and way of life , and I guarantee it will change the way you look at your own.
