A couple of posts ago I wrote about how I got to shoot Diplo's recent concert on Maui. This show was too good! His set was so electrifying and exciting. Everyone in the crowd was losing it, dancing and having fun. My angle from the pit wasn't very good for this part of the MACC. The DJ table was pretty tall and I could just barely see Diplo's head. I got some shots down there, and ran around the venue to get some different angles. I knew this show was going to be big, and really wanted to show the size of the crowd and nail some solid artist portraits. I shot with two cameras, one with a 24-70 lens and the other with an 85. It was a killer combo and I'm definitely going to pick up an 85 of my own in the future. I met his photographer, Gabe, who was really cool and I'm stoked we got to connect. Thanks to the Bamp Project for putting me on, can't wait for the next one!!
