Shooting live music is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening. Add some rain to the mix and it gets even better. Last Saturday, Landon McNamara and friends came through the Maui Tropical Plantation for the second stop of their island tour. The venue was packed. The vibes were right. The set was stellar.
I walked out of there soaking wet and so stoked. I love the weather sealing on my Canon gear, I never have to worry about equipment failure in extreme conditions. My camera got a healthy dousing of water but it was no problem. The funny thing is, I had gone on a whale watch with my girlfriend and friends that morning and my camera got hit with a bunch of salty spray. When it poured at the concert that salt was rinsed off pretty well, haha. I'd rather shoot an epic concert outside in the rain any day than inside some venue sweating my ass off next to a thousand other people. Thanks Mason and Landon for hitting me up to shoot! Can't wait for the next one.
